BISNISREAL.COM, YOGYAKARTA – On Saturday, November 9, 2024, the network of Swiss-Belhotel International properties in Yogyakarta, Solo, and Semarang, including Hotel Ciputra Semarang, Swiss-Belhotel Solo, Swiss-Belinn Saripetojo Solo, Zest Parang Raja Solo, Swiss-Belboutique Yogyakarta, Swiss-Belhotel Airport Yogyakarta, and Zest Yogyakarta, hosted a community event titled “Sharing and Caring with Porters” on Wednesday, November 6, 2024. The event took place at the Nusa Indah Hall, located across from the Department of Trade Office on the third floor of Beringharjo Market, Yogyakarta. The gathering was attended by General Managers, Human Resources, and Public Relations representatives from each hotel.
This caring initiative reached out to 90 porters, many of whom are over 55 years old, who belong to the porter community at Beringharjo Market. The event began early in the morning with health check-ups facilitated by Puskesmas Gondomanan, Yogyakarta, where participants received blood pressure screenings, weight measurements, cholesterol checks, and blood sugar tests.
Each porter received a gift package containing daily essentials, including rice, cooking oil, sugar, and soap, courtesy of all seven Swiss-Belhotel International properties in Yogyakarta, Solo, and Semarang. This gesture aimed to support and uplift the porters’ welfare by providing essentials that would benefit their daily lives.
