Industrial Synergy: Sharp Indonesia's Bold Move to Boost National Human Resources Industrial Synergy: Sharp Indonesia's Bold Move to Boost National Human Resources

BISNISREAL.COM, JAKARTA – Friday February 6,2026 The gap between vocational education and industrial requirements has long been a challenge for Indonesia’s economic competitiveness. To address this, PT Sharp Electronics Indonesia (SEID) has once again stepped up, proving that the solution lies in direct, hands-on collaboration. On January 26, 2026, Sharp officially launched its signature “Sharp Class” program at SMKN 3 Karawang, marking a new chapter in industrial-academic synergy.

More Than Just Training Sharp Class is not your typical short-term workshop. It is a comprehensive, two-month intensive program designed to transform 25 selected students into industry-ready professionals. The curriculum focuses on Air Conditioning (AC) technology—a sector currently experiencing high demand in the electronics and service industry.

Lise Tiasanty, Head of Customer Satisfaction at Sharp Indonesia, emphasizes that the program is an investment in the nation’s future. “Sharp Class is about creating a sustainable ecosystem. We provide students with the technical mastery and the ‘soft skills’ necessary to thrive—such as professional communication, customer service excellence, and an entrepreneurial mindset,” she explained.

A Proven Track Record of Success Since its inception in 2012, Sharp Class has expanded to 24 vocational schools (SMK) across the Indonesian archipelago, from Aceh to Sulawesi. The numbers speak for themselves: out of 893 graduates, many have secured positions within Sharp Indonesia, while others have successfully launched careers in international firms or started their own service businesses.

For Dra. Ade Mardiah Hayati, Principal of SMKN 3 Karawang, this partnership is a model for vocational transformation. “Our students gain direct exposure to real-world industrial standards. This experience is invaluable in building the confidence and competence they need to compete in the modern job market,” she noted.

The “Sharp Cares” Philosophy This initiative is deeply rooted in the SHARP CARES corporate social responsibility framework, which stands for Creativity, Attention, Recovery, Earth, and Sincerity. By focusing on education, Sharp is not only securing its future workforce but also fulfilling its commitment to social recovery and national development.

As Indonesia aims to become a global industrial player, initiatives like Sharp Class provide the necessary blueprint: a world where schools and factories work hand-in-hand to ensure no student is left behind by the pace of technology.
