BISNISREAL.COM, STASIUN HALIM — Switzerland Tourism, Swiss Travel System AG, the Embassy of Switzerland in Indonesia, and KCIC today inaugurated the Travel Switzerland Exhibition at Whoosh Halim Station, where it will be open to the public from 24 April to 24 May 2026.
The exhibition marks two important milestones: the 10th anniversary of the Grand Train Tour of Switzerland and the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Switzerland and Indonesia.

Presented at one of Indonesia’s leading transport hubs, the exhibition invites visitors to discover Switzerland through one of its most iconic travel experiences.
The Grand Train Tour of Switzerland brings together the country’s panoramic rail journeys into one spectacular 1,280-kilometre route, taking travellers through charming towns, Alpine villages, UNESCO World Heritage sites, and some of Switzerland’s best-known landmarks.
Through this collaboration with KCIC, visitors at Whoosh Halim Station can experience an introduction to Swiss rail travel and learn more about the Grand Train Tour of Switzerland, its routes, and the integrated public transport system that makes travel across the country seamless and reliable.
Speaking at the opening, H.E. Olivier Zehnder, Ambassador of Switzerland to Indonesia, Timor-Leste and ASEAN, said:
“In Switzerland, the railway is not only a means of transport; it is one of the most beautiful ways to discover our country. To present this exhibition at Whoosh Halim Station is therefore especially meaningful, as it brings together two countries that understand how mobility can connect people, open horizons, and create new opportunities.”
Mr. Batiste Pilet, Director Southeast Asia of Switzerland Tourism, said:
“The Grand Train Tour of Switzerland offers travellers a unique way to experience the diversity of our country — from panoramic rail journeys and mountain landscapes to historic towns and cultural landmarks. On the occasion of its 10th anniversary, we are pleased to bring this story to Indonesia and to invite visitors to discover Switzerland as a destination where the journey itself is part of the experience.”
Mr. Dwiyana Slamet Riyadi, President Director of KCIC, said:
“This collaboration marks an important momentum for Whoosh to expand its international exposure while strengthening its positioning as a world-class transportation service. The presence of the Travel Switzerland Exhibition at Halim Station highlights Whoosh not only as a mobility solution, but also as a platform for cross-country collaboration. Through its association with the Grand Train Tour of Switzerland as a global icon of rail travel, we aim to introduce Whoosh to a broader audience while inspiring passengers and reinforcing our commitment to delivering high-quality, reliable, and seamless travel experiences.”
The exhibition also carries particular significance in 2026, as Switzerland and Indonesia celebrate 75 years of diplomatic relations.
In this context, the initiative reflects how tourism and mobility can serve as meaningful expressions of a broader bilateral relationship — one built not only through official cooperation, but also through exchange between people, places, and ideas. [ ]
